Welcome!

The studio accepts students of all ages and levels (preschool through adult, beginning through advanced) with interests ranging from recreational music making to pursuing a career in music, as well as those with special needs.  A variety of repertoire and pedagogical ideas are used to create an individual, comprehensive program of study for each student. All students learn music theory and may also choose to study improvisation and composition. Artistry and healthy technique are emphasized at every level.

Students attend weekly private lessons and a bi-monthly group class (not required for adult students). Group classes provide an opportunity for performance and often include theory, games, and other instruction with the added benefit of being a social event. Students participate in the studio's unique incentive program which supports their comprehensive curriculum while providing a fun way to track progress, achieve individual goals throughout the year, and earn awards.

Students have the opportunity to participate in the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program, as well as the many events offered through the Snohomish County Music Teachers Association, such as the Music Artistry Program, Music Literacy Program, Young Artist Master Series lessons, Sonatina/Sonata Festival, Music in Action Ribbon Festival, Recitals, Scholarship Competition, Composition Competition, and Concerto Competition.

Studio Recitals feature a variety of solo music and may include collaborative performances. Recitals may be in-person, online, or a hybrid of both. Students also have the opportunity to give individual or small group recitals.
